Deal or No Deal- CNBC

i had the honor to be briefcase model #4 for the recent remake of the hit game show Deal or No Deal.  what i appreciated the most from this family-friendly show was how focused the production was on women empowerment, diversity and inclusivity.  the 25 other women by my side all came from different backgrounds and it was delightful to get to know them and hear about their lives.  the production encouraged us to be ourselves and speak on our life experiences when we had the chance to interact with the contestants.  as for the actual show, every single person of the team was always caught up in the game at play.  even when we were already off stage or sent for a wardrobe change or a lunch break, we would all stay connected to know the outcome of the game that was being filmed!  the production did such a great job at choosing contestants we could all connect with.  i could not get enough of the excitement, the laughing and the exhilaration of a contestant making a risky move that paid off!

Survivor Nicaragua- CBS

i remember those first moments walking out onto the mat as the game of Survivor officially began on the island of Nicaragua.  i got a huge lump in my throat from the emotions.  i was filled with gratitude for the opportunity to be on this show.
Survivor is hard. it’s a nonstop mind-game mixed with raw emotions and difficult living circumstances. i missed my family and home the entire time- but my eyes were focused on the prize as well- 1 million dollars!
i did my best while playing Survivor the first time and unbeknownst to me I’d get a second opportunity to play a few years later.

Survivor Caramoan: Fans VS Favorites- CBS

it’s not every time you get a second chance to win a million dollars.  the experience of playing Survivor again for a second time was better than the first time.  although the stakes were higher, since this time i was playing against experienced castaways, in a way, it was easier than Nicaragua because the weather was much much better.  i also had my heart lead me this time, thinking constantly on the sole advice my father gave me before I left to play: “just be humble, Bren.”
i get asked many times if i would come back to play a third time and i always answer the same- i’d miss my family like crazy, especially now with eren and david in my life, but Survivor is an experience one can never say no to.

Paddleboard Miami

i started paddleboarding in 2009.  since the sport was so new i created a meetup group to try to find other paddlers.  the response was overwhelming.  there were so many people wanting to paddleboard!  but there was one issue- they didn’t have any boards.  this is how my paddleboard rental and sales company started.  i’m proud to say that i offered a unique approach to paddleboarding in Miami.  i was a mobile outfitter so i was able to offer paddleboarding rentals and excursions all over Miami- from Key Biscayne, Coconut Grove, Coral Gables, Miami Beach, North Miami and even the Everglades.  the best part of having this company was meeting all the other people who enjoyed this same sport.  i still have many friendships that began during that time.

Miami Dolphins Cheerleader- NFL

i spent 2 years cheering for the Miami Dolphins.  it was my first experience on a professional dance team and i came to find out that they are considered the top of the NFL.  every cheerleader was required to work or study full-time and to always exemplify a classy persona.
friendships came easy on a squad like this. we trained and practiced hard for the games and appearances. all the hard work paid off as we stepped onto the field of 70,000 screaming fans on game days- it’s an exhilaration that is hard to describe!
